Long time no blog . . .

So I definitely said in all good faith that I would carry on my blog didn’t I? Oh well, I’ll pick it up again now, hopefully anyway . . .

So my last blog seems like so long ago – when I’d just finished second year, now I’m into Week 5 of Level 3 – scary stuff.

I don’t think an awful lot has changed since my last blog – I got a lovely little flat with Alex, went to Leeds Festival and had a bloody good time – aaanndd I got engaged! But now he’s gone and moved to Manchester to work – what a pig?! Its okay I suppose.

Yeah not much seems to be going on with me, other than the above, and organising my own 21st party – which I’m not sure if I’m happy or pissed about, although at least I know that it’ll be how I want it, and that’s how it should be – it is my party after all. I think I’m more excited for that than Christmas and my actual birthday!

And if anyone can recommend anywhere I can buy a fabulous dress and beautiful shoes from please feel free to share with me – I’m looking at a lovely pair of Iron Fist red sequined ones, and any Irregular Choice shoes that I can’t afford. BOOO!

Ok, so maybe I’ll try keep blogging, if I ever find the time! HA.

Frustration.

This appears to be my first 'un-assessed' blog - go me for actually doing it now that I don't have to!

So uni is over now...Or nearly over, just another few thousand words to write - hence this blog post, obviously another procrastination tool, thanks to Philip Young I now have Twitter to distract me and this!

I just booked flights to London at the end of the month, being lazy because I couldn't do a coach trip again - regardless of price! And I couldn't find cheap trains, so if anyone has tips on that they would be appreciated!

I'm going to stay with my friend Jess, who has already had a mention in this blog somewhere. I'm quite excited, I like flying and this is the first time I'll be doing it all on my own, woop! Plus I feel it will be deserved, once my work is out of the way.

Fair to say that trying to get work done to a high standard is extreeeemely difficult when all you can think about are, well, not PR related to say the least. Then when you get on a roll you're iTunes decides to pick out a few songs that make you think about 'that thing' again. Grr.

Urgh, I hate it when things happen, that you know are coming, or you expect a little, but you don't want it to happen, then it does. If you get me? I don't so it's okay.

Life sucks arse at times, but I imagine this is where you're supposed to 'power through' or 'pick yourself up'. Luckily for me I have about 4000-5000 words to write so I'll just get on with that!

Every Time I Die - Leeds '09

So last night I went to see Every Time I Die in Leeds, supporting Gallows.
Fair to say it was bloody brilliant, even if Idid miss some of the first song, which is one of my favourites! But hey, all the same it was awesome!
Followed by meeting the bassist Josh (top photo), who was lovely and we talked to for ages whilst Gallows were on. Then whilst talking to him the singer Keith (middle photo) came over for a bit, fair to say I think I love him, I did a little before the show, but now I think I definately do!!
Then after watching the end of Gallows, went to the bar and saw guitarist Andy (last photo) he was also a lovely man, after chatting for a while, photo opps etc we directed him to the nearest take-aways, jumped in a taxi and went home to party!
Fair to say I had a lovely two days in Leeds, and things are starting to look up a bit, got a new flat sorted, making some good progress on my work and feeling like hell, but happy!
This post will be my last assessed post and whilst i've enjoyed my time in the 'blogsphere' I think I will continue to post my ramblings after I have been marked!
Catch y'all laters!

Back To The Grind

Back at uni again after a never ending three weeks off, seemed like a lifetime ago that we broke up now though!

Back to the house in Sunderland, which is still falling apart but now we have mice, yes plural, two of them to be precise. Currently avoiding the mousetraps and poison we've had down, so I was maybe thinking of naming them seeing as though they will probably reside here permanently if the landlord has anything to do with it.

Any ideas are welcome! If I get enough suggestions I'll make a vote and see who's name wins.

It seems about time I cleared all the mess from one area of my room I haven't seen since January - my desk! Get that sorted and fill it right back up with books and notes to get a little further into the monster mountain of essays to be in beginning 14th May.... Good for me I actually did work over Easter and got a good head start on some of them.

So to the other thing on my 'to-do' list - find a place to live preferably before 30th June, otherwise I will be moving home, which is not what I want really. It's nice to visit but not for good, not yet anyway. Endless lists of places that are too expensive and places that are in awful areas. Not many to choose from - I am in Sunderland after all.

There you have it, I've been here for three days and already I am moaning "WAAAAHHHHH"

Three Magnificent Men

This is just a short post to tell you all about three people I know who are doing a 1000 mile bike ride over 20 days through Europe. All in aid of the charity Royal British Legion. Further details are here.

Any donations would be welcome and rest assured none of the donations made will go towards paying for this trip as that has come out of their pockets.

So if you want to donate anything you have spare go and visit http://www.justgiving.com/3magnificentmen

Bragster

A couple of weeks ago I was directed to another ‘new’ social media website, only this one is less about following celebrities or really discussing much with friends other than who is cooler!

The site is Bragster and as it says on the home page “Jackass meets Facebook” and after signing up a few weeks ago I’ve had a good look around it and here’s the gist of it.

You sign up, enter you details and then you’re good to go – the next step is what the site is all about. Uploading pictures or videos of you doing something stupid ‘a dare’ and the others on the site tell you if it’s cool or not, therefore earning you bragging rights.

So, after this you can then dare other people to do something – they reply with their image or video and you say ‘cool brag’ or ‘lame brag’ you decide.

There are loads of videos to watch and people to talk to, and even dares where you can win things, such as this guy winning $1000 to legally change his name to Chev Chelios from Crank. Watch it!

Then there is the Tango dare. Bragster dared Tango to print their cans upside down and slap the Bragster logo on the can! Check out the video.

Anyway I would advise you all to go sign up have a giggle, and get yourself earning some bragging rights. It’s interesting and a great procrastination tool! Enjoy!

Easter Breaks and relaxing...

So I'm almost half way through the Easter break - the mist has descended on the North East and the sun has been stolen. Great. We get two or three nice days and then get punished by being barely able to see the house next door but one!

What with all the work I'm doing I thought I'd take a break to laugh at some kid getting 'owned' by an exercise ball. I honestly bet you laugh!

But there are more - I find it funny. Kids are stupid HA!

That is pretty much what I've been getting up to lately, laughing at that stupid kid and his stupid exercise ball.

Hope everyone else is having a lovely break!
